How it works

The badge: no coding needed

Put this where the badge should appear, with the member's handle (the part after juzt-tap.com/u/) and your public key. It only works on the domains you listed for your app.

API reference

For your server only. Send your secret key in the X-Api-Key header; never put it in a web page or a mobile app. Answers are JSON in UTF-8.

• trust.level: highly_trusted (80+), trusted (60+), established (40+), building (20+), new
• trust.identity_verified: Juzt-Tap checked an ID document or company papers. Without it the score stops at 50.
• attribution: show "Verified by Juzt-Tap" with a link to this address next to the score.

Approved client reviews, newest first, up to 20 per page. Needs an app approved for reviews. Clients are shown by first name and initial only.

Checks your key and shows how much of today's allowance is left.

A small picture badge (for example in a forum post or a README). Add &lang=fr for French.

Errors

A failed request answers with an HTTP status and a JSON object: {"error": {"code", "message"}}.

Limits

• API: 1,000 requests a day per app to start (the team can raise it), and at most 120 a minute. The headers X-RateLimit-Limit and X-RateLimit-Remaining show where you are.
• Badges: twenty times the API allowance in views a day.
• Keep answers on your side for up to 24 hours instead of asking again for every visitor.
• Up to 5 apps per account.

Rules

• Show scores and reviews as they come, with "Verified by Juzt-Tap" and the link. Do not change, round up or mix them with other ratings.
• Do not copy members in bulk, build a directory of them or keep their data longer than 24 hours.
• Do not use the API to decide on credit, jobs or housing on its own, or to contact members for marketing.
• Keep your secret key secret. If it leaks, replace it at once on your app page.
• Juzt-Tap can suspend an app that breaks these rules, and changes to the API are announced on this page first.
